The conversation focused on the concept of stakeholder marketing and why organisations need to be concerned about managing their reputation among a wide range of ‘publics’: employees, analysts, local communities, the media and many others as well as their customers. Suppliers in particular can be a powerful source of competitive advantage, argued Nicklin.
